Shelley Adams Music Review
01-28-10

Ever have a day, week or month where you feel like luck is just not on your side? I am sure from time to time we all have felt that way. That is when most of us retreat into the wonderful world of music, to help bring us some comfort; soul food if you will. That kind of music that helps us not feel alone, that picks us back up and places us gently on the ground feet first.

Shelly AdamsI had the good luck of coming across an artist that helps do exactly that. Shelley Adams hailing from Canada with a little over 7,600 profile views and 3,400 plays on her MySpace page she is a rising Folk Indie singer/songwriter that will be big pretty soon, in my eyes. Of all the songs she has posted they all have amazing vocal's and range's in melodies.

One of the top songs that is out right now is How Could I Of?.  The low key chords that mix the beautiful sounds of the acoustic guitar, violin and a few other string instruments combined with the moving lyrics and folk vocals take you to a place; like a wide-open meadow with the wind blowing ever so softly and the sun shining bright.

Instantly after listening to this song you can not help but want to put it on repeat for a bit. You can feel the lyrics and vocals swim around you and give you that pat on the back, the hug that you need, the assurance that other people all around the world feel the same way you do on that day or at least they have in the past or will in the future.

Shelley Adams is currently putting the finishing touches on her first album, so it should be due out real soon! In the meantime please check out the song How Could I Of? and Complicated - Demo version.  You can find her on MySpace and Talent Space Records.
